Fort St. Cycle Race Report

Kenyon CampbellTeam Fort Street Cycle attacked the Times Colonist Cycling Festival with vigor this past weekend. On Friday’s Bear Mountain Hill Climb Kenyon Campbell tore up the 3km hill with an impressive time of 8:42, putting him in 12th place out of a 65 man field. Gillian Carelton chalked up a lightning fast time of 11:09, followed by Tanya Gadsby at 12:19.

Grey skies and steady rain greeted riders for the Bastion Square Crit on Sunday.  Many riders bowed out of the race due to the slick conditions, however Kenyon Campbell managed to navigate the unruly corners to place 2nd in the Men’s Category 5 and Unlicensed race.  Gillian Carelton braved the bitter cold and rain to take a well deserved 1st place in the Women’s Category 4/5 race.
